INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK 2011


International Education Week (IEW), November 14 - 18, is promoted by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Its main purpose is to educate students about the benefits of international education, as well as providing exposure to a variety of different cultures and international issues.

The International Club, along with the Center for International Students and Programs at RCCD, are organizing an International Education Week event, “BE COOL, BE GLOBAL, BE INTELLIGENT Be a part of it…” on campus on Tuesday, November 15 and Wednesday, November 16. Students will be involved in cultural exchange, increase their awareness of international education programs, and focus on the benefits of studying abroad.

All clubs and organizations are welcome to join the activities of International Education Week. Please fill out the attached application(s) and submit the application(s) to the International Center, located at Technology B Building Room 203 by Thursday, October 20. Note: Two separate applications are required for ①Country/Game booth, and ②Performance.
The following activities will be offered:

• Various booths representing cultures from around the world
• Music, dancing and traditional costumes
• Interactive games
